Kevin Trudeau is a liar: says the LAW
I suppose to avoid any potential libel suits, I should qualify that and say that he is not necessarily a liar; but he is a convicted misrepresenter.
This is the small tidbit describing why he was convicted of Contempt of Court, since his easy, simple diet book was essentially none of the above. I hope he tries to appeal it, as that would only be good for America.
Maybe he could try to pull a James Frey, and say that actually, the books are fiction. Maybe that would save him.

Well, it wouldn’t be the first time Kevin Trudeau’s seen the inside of a courtroom. And an appeals is almost expected - his record is…well, less-than-perfect.
Maybe he will say it’s a fiction book - the start of a great new series.
The main character of the next book could be a chaos-reducing rock. His name could be Steve.

Perhaps entirely ironically, his next book is going to be a get-out-of-debt book. Nothing can go wrong with this plan. He’s only been to jail for financial fraud- how could that have any bearing?

(…Hrm.
Theory denied. Unless he’s planning on telling everyone to sell inanimate objects with ulterior motives. “This leaf is not only a leaf, but will give you plumbing abilities the likes of which Mario has never seen!”)
Whatever scheme he’s planning with this one, chances are it’s going to work out just as well as all the other ones. Sadly enough, he does make money on those books. Well, whatever makes him happy and the rest of easily-distracted America a little poorer.
Maybe he’ll do something really illegal this time. That’d be fun.
(Hi, by the way, :D. )
